Seasonal temperature trends on the Spanish mainland: A secular study (1916–2015)

Trends in seasonal mean values of maximum and minimum temperature are analysed the Spanish mainland from new MOTEDAS_century database. This data set has been developed combining digitalized archives Meteorological Agency (AEMET) with information retrieved Annual Books published by former dating back to 1916, covers period 1916–2015. In all four seasons, (Tmax) (Tmin) increased. The raising occurred two main pulses separated a first pause around middle 20th century, but differed among seasons also between temperature. Analysis percentage land affected significant trends reveals increasing phases spring summer for Tmax, spring, summer, autumn Tmin. However, winter Tmax only rose during recent decades, decades. Negative were found extended areas autumn, Tmin, confirming 1940's–1960's.
